Dental bonding is a cosmetic dental procedure that involves the application of a tooth-colored resin material to the teeth to improve their appearance. It can be used to repair chipped, cracked or stained teeth, close gaps between teeth, and improve the overall shape of teeth.

The steps involved in the dental bonding procedure:

Preparation: The tooth was prepared by applying a conditioning solvent and mildly roughening its surface. This helps the bonding material to adhere to the tooth.

Bonding material application: The tooth-colored resin material will be applied to the tooth and mold it into the desired shape.

Curing: The special light is used to harden the bonding material. This process usually takes a few seconds.

Shaping and polishing: Once the bonding material is hardened, the surrounding teeth will be polished and shaped  to fit the colour and form. This may involve using a drill or other dental equipments.

Final evaluation: Evaluates the result to ensure that the bonding material looks natural and is properly aligned with the other teeth.
